The LC is seeking a Senior Program Officer to help conduct projects and research on pressing health policy problems. This person will have a Master鈥檚 or Doctoral-level degree with six years of experience honing knowledge and skills in synthesizing complex information to facilitate collaborative leadership for progress. The Senior Program Officer must have a keen sense of strategic decision-making, excellent interpersonal skills, exceptional writing abilities, familiarity with compelling issues in health and health science and technology policy, and have a strong comfort level working in a fast-paced collaborative environment. The incumbent will direct, develop, and manage one or more of the organization’s projects, activities, and programs with minimal oversight. Incumbent applies in-depth professional-level knowledge and principles of health, health care, and biomedical science to foster collaboration and solve independently a full range of complex problems. The work is primarily intellectual, analytical, and managerial in character, requiring advanced knowledge. Assignments are broadly defined and require judgment and creativity to complete. The Senior Program Officer has authority to take whatever action deemed advisable or necessary and is often responsible for oversight or management of other staff. The Senior Program Officer will work closely with the Director and staff within the Leadership Consortium.
Minimum Education and Experience: Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge. Six years of related professional experience, two of which involve supervisory responsibilities.
Preferred Education and Experience: Ph.D. in a related field preferred.
Compensation: $85,040 – $106,300

This person will have a Master鈥檚 level degree with three years of experience honing knowledge and skills in synthesizing complex information to facilitate collaborative leadership for progress. The Program Officer must have a keen sense of strategic decision-making, excellent interpersonal skills, exceptional writing abilities, familiarity with compelling issues in health policy, and a strong comfort level working in a fast-paced collaborative environment. The incumbent will help to manage one or more of the organization’s projects, activities, and programs within the Value Incentives and Systems portfolio with minimal oversight. Incumbent applies in-depth professional-level knowledge and principles of health, health care, and biomedical science to foster collaboration and solve independently a full range of complex problems. The work is primarily intellectual, analytical, and managerial in character, requiring advanced knowledge. Assignments are broadly defined and require judgment, creativity, and flexibility to complete. The Program Officer will work closely with the Director, Senior Program Officer, and staff within the Leadership Consortium.
Minimum Education and Experience: Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge. Three years of related professional experience.
Compensation: $85,040 – $106,300

 

The Director of Finance at the NAM provides strategic financial leadership, overseeing all budgeting, financial planning, and management activities. Reporting directly to the Executive Officer, the Director ensures the efficient and effective operation of NAM鈥檚 financial functions, aligning them with the organization’s long-term objectives. This role involves direct supervision of finance staff, coordination with program and administrative units, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational policies. The Director plays a key role in guiding the financial strategy and supporting the financial integrity of NAM through innovative problem-solving and strategic resource allocation.
Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent knowledge. Eight years of related professional experience, three of which were in a supervisory capacity.
Preferred Education: Master鈥檚 in Business Administration.
Compensation: $101,130 – $158,015

 

The NAM seeks an experienced and highly motivated Executive Assistant to support the National Academy of Medicine Executive Officer (EO). Reporting to the EO, the Executive Assistant independently performs a broad variety of advanced administrative, management, and support duties for the EO, including managing an active calendar of appointments; maintaining and overseeing the currency of the EO鈥檚 priority contact data bases; assembling necessary meeting preparatory materials; arranging travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; compiling documents for travel-related meetings; tracking expenses and completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential. The incumbent maintains the manual of NAM policies and procedures, maintaining a continuously updated on-line version, and annually prepares the updated version in hard-copy for NAM staff distribution. In addition, the incumbent maintains and ensures compliance with an EO-specific set of policies and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for quality control of all materials that must be reviewed and approved by the EO. The incumbent independently anticipates problems, and resolves both routine and complex problems and inquiries, escalating those with particular complexity to the EO as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience: Associate鈥檚 Degree in a related field, or equivalent knowledge. Six years of related administrative experience.
Compensation: $70,880 – $88,600
